Following his back to back Grammy Awards nomination Burna Boy says he is the new number 1 in the Nigerian music industry.
Just a day after bagging a nomination in the ‘Best Global Music Album‘ with his recent album ‘Twice As Tall’, Burna Boy goes blows his trumpet.
As seen in a new post on Snapchat, Burna Boy wrote ‘power has changed hands. Accept and move on. I be #1 before before no be title’.
According to the post the Spaceship Entertainment honcho did not mention names but he was definitely referring to some of his colleagues.
For a long time now the Nigerian music industry has always placed Wizkid and Davido ahead of him in hierarchy. However, with his current form and wins Burna Boy says he is the numero uno.
Besides a Grammy nomination, Burna Boy got 2 nominations in the upcoming MOBO Awardsas ‘Best African Act’ and ‘Best International Act’.
