With 10 shows, producer Greg Berlanti and his Berlanti Prods. last year tied the record for most series on the air at the same time previously set by Aaron Spelling and Jerry Bruckheimer. There was an asterisk— all of Spelling and Buckheimer series were on broadcast, while Berlanti Prods. had 8 broadcast series, two on cable/streaming.

The asterisk has now been erased as Berlanti has set a new record with 14 live-action scripted series — all dramas — 10 of them on broadcast.
Berlanti Prods., which is under an overall deal at Warner Bros. TV, saw only one of its eight 2017-18 broadcast series canceled, ABC’s Deception, and added three new ones — God Friended Me and The Red Line for CBS; and All American for the CW.
And today, Berlanti got a series order from DC Universe for another drama series,Doom Patrol.
The new digital service is betting heavily on the producer, who is behind the CW’s DC universe, with the platform’s two inaugural live-actionseries that will help launch it coming from Berlanti Prods. –Titans and Doom Patrol.
