President #Donald #Trump will be a two-year no-show at the traditional annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner,sending his regrets and his press secretary in his place.
The White House Correspondents’ Association today tweeted, “The White House has informed us that the president does not plan to participate in this year’s dinner but that he will actively encourage members of the executive branch to attend and join us as we celebrate the First Amendment.
“In keeping with tradition, Press Secretary Sarah Sanders also will represent the administration at the head of the table. The April 28 dinner celebrates award-winning reporting, scholarship winners and the vital role of the First Amendment and the free press in American democracy.”

The dinner is, as always, held at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C.. Comedian Michelle Wolf, who recently signed up for a talk show on Netflix, will host the schmooze & roast dinner.
Last year, Trump broke with tradition by stiffing the dinner altogether, and discouraged other White House officials from attending. Trump held a rally for fans instead.
