Logan Paul may be a year older, but he isn’t necessarily wiser.
The embattled YouTube star, who celebrated his 23rd birthday Sunday, was busted over the weekend for allegedly riding atop a school bus with pals in California’s Yosemite National Park. A ranger from the U.S. National Parks Service is said to have spotted Paul and friends on the vlogger’s blue “Cool Bus,” sitting in tents that were strapped to the vehicle’s roof, according to The Blast.
“Wasn’t the smartest or safest thing to do,” an official told the website.
While Paul ultimately accepted responsibility for his party’s actions, the site reported he was cited for an “illegal operation,” which results in a small fine. He was also apprehended for parking the “Cool Bus” across multiple parking spaces. In a video uploaded online,Paul claimed he did not receive a ticket.
Paulignited a firestorm of controversy earlier this year, after posting a video on YouTube from Japan’s Aokigahara forest near Mount Fuji, laughing and giggling after coming across what appeared to be a dead body hanging from a tree. Paul later issued an apology, claiming he wanted to raise awareness about suicide.
“I thought I could make a positive ripple on the internet, not cause a monsoon of negativity,” Paul said on Twitter.
As of late February,YouTube has resumed serving ads on Paul’s channels following a temporary suspension as a result of the controversial clip.
The National Parks Service did not immediately return a request for comment.
