Former contributor has denounced Fox News as a “propaganda machine” for the Trump administration
Fox News has fired back at a former contributor who said he was “ashamed” of his affiliation with the network in an email to colleagues.
“Ralph Peters is entitled to his opinion despite the fact that he's choosing to use it as a weapon in order to gain attention,” the network said in a statement to The Wrap. “We are extremely proud of our top-rated primetime hosts and all of our opinion programing.”
The statement comes after Buzzfeed News published an email from Peters in which he announced that he had quit his role as an analyst and denounced the network as a “propaganda machine” for the Trump administration.

Over my decade with Fox, I long was proud of the association. Now I am ashamed,” the retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel wrote.
He went on to say that the cable news network had degenerated from providing a legitimate and much-needed outlet for conservative voices to a mere propaganda machine for a destructive and ethically ruinous administration ” and slammed President Trump for his perceived affection for Russia’s Vladimir Putin.
The email spared the Fox Business network and hard news reporters at Fox News from criticism, singling them out for their “integrity” and praising them as “talented professionals in a poisoned environment.”
